Digital Marketing

This course provided a very solid understanding of the main components and tactics of modern digital marketing. I gained key knowledge from a practitioner and created a professional portfolio website using WordPress and integrated Mailpoet Blogs and Google Analytics into the site. Finally, I completed multiple Hubspot and Google Analytics certifications to aid in professional development.

Global Marketing

In this course, I studied marketing strategies in international markets, focusing on how cultural and environmental differences influence business practices. I gained an understanding of international marketing and learned how to adapt product, price, promotion, and distribution decisions to meet the unique needs of foreign markets. The course also emphasized the challenges and opportunities global environments.

Financial Management

I learned to analyze financial data and make corporate decisions while considering legal and ethical responsibilities. I used accounting information to assess performance, applied time value of money and discounted cash flow techniques, and calculated the weighted average cost of capital. The course introduced the risk return trade off and the Capital Asset Pricing Model. I also used MS-Excel and financial calculators.

Marketing Research

In this course, I gained practical experience in primary research and data analysis, building a strong foundation in research methodologies and decision-making. I conducted frequency, correlation, regression, and t-test analyses and utilized tools like SPSS for data visualization and analysis. The couse also introduced me to Qualtrics for survey design and data collection, further enhancing my research capabilities.

American Marketing Association

As an active member of the University of Tampa’s American Marketing Association chapter, I have participated in personal development workshops and networking events, which have expanded my knowledge of the marketing industry and helped me build meaningful connections with fellow marketing professionals. Additionally, I have contributed as a member of the AMA Leadership Team and Creative Team, creating photography, videography, and multimedia content for promotional campaigns. My work included producing videos, a recruitment video (featured below), and media assets to enhance brand presence and support recruitment goals. Additionally, I collaborate with other AMA teams to ensure alignment with other organizational objectives. Next Semester I will also be joining the AMA Agency which is a unique initiative that offers students hands on experience in marketing research and strategy development. This team would allow me to work with real clients, apply my skills to contribute to the growth of businesses and gain valuable practical experience in the field.
